North Santiam River
The North Santiam River makes a fast-flowing, white-water challenge offering Class III and even a few Class IV rapids. Flowing through Willamette Valley, just 30 miles from Salem, Oregon, the river offers a three-season adventure thanks to the dam that controls the river's flow and depth. Head to the river with your own raft, or to get a feel for the rapids, consider taking a guided rafting trip.

Guided Tours

 Northwest Whitewater offers full-day trips that start at 10 a.m. and finish by 4 p.m. Half-day trips start at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.  .

What's Included

We provide transportation to and from the raft input site. All rafts, paddles, river-running equipment and life jackets are provided. You usually get a waterproof bag to hold your personal gear so it stays dry. Because the water stays cold in the spring and fall, a wetsuit comes in handy.
We rent wetsuits for a small fee. During the summer, wearing a bathing suit underneath a pair of shorts works well
