Clackamas River: Barton Park to Carver
The views and photo ops of Mt.Hood are amazing on this stretch. Relax and enjoy the scenery.
"This stretch of the Clackamas River is an excellent training area for beginners. There are many small class 2 drops, usually with eddies close by. The rapids are clean and have good runouts.
The scenery is uncluttered, even though some areas have housing on the river’s edge. The river class rises to the 2+ level in the spring and drops to the 2- level in the summer. It is runnable all year and is often run in the evening, when daylight permits. Character: residential."
